Lucca slipover is a simple and timeless slipover and it’s a perfect addition to the base wardrobe. The slipover is worked from the top down on 5,5 mm needles. The ribbed edges are made on 5 mm needles. The construction of the slipover is simple and doesn’t contain any complicated techniques.
Pattern overview
The back piece is made first. Then, stitches are picked up by the shoulders. These are worked separately before they’re connected and worked back and forth. Afterwards, the front piece and the back piece are connected and the rest of the body is worked in the round and finished with a ribbed edge. Ribbed edges are also added to the arms and the neckline. All ribbed edges are bound off with an Italian bind off.
Size guide
This slipover can be made in the sizes a (b) c (d) e which corresponds to a bust measurement of 80-88 (88-94) 94-101 (101-108) 108-114 cm.
To find your bust measurement, use a measuring tape to measure the widest part of your bust. If your chest area isn’t the largest part of your upper body, measure the widest part of your upper body instead and use that as your “bust” measurement.
The slipover has a positive ease of 1-10 cm larger than your bust measurement. For example, this means if your bust measurement is 100 cm, you’ll need to knit size c.
